A little info about breast cancer

Breast cancer is a menace and devastating for the people who are affected and their families. Every year, 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK. This is the equivalent of having a packed full St. James’ Stadium or An almost full Emirates stadium down in North London. Or to put this is more perspective, about 1 person every 10 minutes. It is estimated that 1 in 8 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and breast cancer is second most common cause of death from cancer in the UK with almost 12,000 people dying every year. These are scary numbers and they are not to be taken very likely. But the good news is that 85% of suferers survive beyond five years. The key is early detection and screening to curb it at its earliest stage.
